A reflection of the spiritual world.
Kanan Biri is the new healing centre of Shipibo maestro Miguel Muñoz, on his family's land in the Peruvian Amazon. We are now welcoming our first guests, a few at a time.

Our maloka.
Coming soonMiguel's family is building a traditional Shipibo ceremony house on their land. Until it is finished, retreats are held in the family's ceremony room.
Latest from the buildMaestro Miguel Muñoz.

Miguel is a Shipibo maestro who has walked the path of strict plant diets and sung in ceremony for 15 years. Father of eight, he is opening a centre of his own on his family's land.
He leads every ceremony himself and sings to each guest in turn. His family lives on the land and looks after guests day to day. We are not a resort: guests stay simply, eat dieta food, and live inside the rhythm of a working Shipibo home.

What a ceremony night is like.
Ceremonies begin after dark in the ceremony room. Maestro Miguel sings icaros, the healing songs of the Shipibo, to each guest in turn. Nights are quiet and unhurried.
Longer stays include a master plant dieta: a period of simple food, solitude and a single teacher plant, prescribed by Miguel for each person.
